It's so ... exotic!!!

Some moments are both magical and exotic, at least for somebody who comes from an other southern european country!

The picture above is from the lake where our summerhouse is, in the north of Sweden and was taken just some minutes before midnight, in the midsummer!
It is the darkest moment of the night (and the quietest) before it starts getting light again!

I just love it!!!

Midsummer in Sweden!

A really warm weekend ...

Carina and Hasse got married a really warm Friday, when lots of Stockholmers were out at the parks and near the water, to enjoy the sun!

Unfortunately the small bridge at Haga Park was fullcovered by them but this did not stop us from taking there some photos of the couple anyway, exactly as we had planned some weeks before, when the weather was not so good and the place was empty!
The sunbathers was a nice background actually! :-))

Noone of the sunbathers said a word as being iritaded or annoyed (swedish people are famous for their politeness). But noone wished to the couple either, just trying to ignore the whole thing that was happening in front of them (you know, intruding their "private zone"), which means that they DID were annoyed! :-)
Well, we bothered them for only five minutes and then we left them in peace and quite! :-)

Katta and Daniel

Katta and Daniel got married at Markims church in Vallentuna some weeks ago.

They met just outside the church for the first time at their wedding day, and they just couldn't have enough looking at each other in their wedding costume and dress.

The rings were carried by their daughter who gave them to her parents when it was the time for the priest to bless them.

... and this is how it feels after a kiss from the most beloved! ...

After the ceremony a most beautiful Chrysler Windsor was waiting for the couple to carry them to the reception.
The driver (and happy owner), Rune Öström, was dressed in an authentic costume from the -50s, the same era as the car!

(Rune can be contacted at rune.ostrom@telia.com or at 070-624 7114)

The conference of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council in Stockholm.

The Swedish Fiscal Policy Council (Finans Politiska Rådet) had it's conference at IVA's conference center some weeks ago.

There the council announced to the media and to those interested, their comments to the Swedish Goverment about the country's economical policy for the following years.

Magisterpromotion at the University of Stockholm

Once more it was time the 30th of May for the new magisters to get their diploma and title!
But this time there was something new; the University of Stockholm gave the title and the honour to those who studied at Lärarhögskolan in Stockholm (which since this year is a part of the University of Stockholm).

155 new magisters got their diploma and where photographed one by one and as groups, during a ceremony that lasted almost two hours.

After the ceremony a dinner was offered with really good food and a lot of singing, evey time before the "skåååål"!
All the photos of this evening can be seen here.
