Jessica and Ruben.

Although the weather was not nice at all and the heavy rain delayed the bride for the photo session, the couple had a wonderfull mood and, as soon as we started photographing, the rain stopped, providing us with a beautiful difused light.

There was a lot of laughing and kidding, and the contribution of the bestman to the mood was desicive!

The bridegroom arived in a fabolous light-blue Thunderbird and after the wedding ceremony took the bride and left, only to come back a little later for the "big entrance" to the Såstaholm herrgård, where the reception was held.

By the way, have i mentioned that the bridegroom is Dutch and many of the guests had come from Holland just for the wedding? :-)

We are back!

Well, it has been more than a month we have not written a word in our blog!

The reason is partly too much work and mainly a logickort from our computer that stopped working.
It took more than two weeks for the service to inform us what the problem was. Finally we decided to invest in a new one and untill that would be delivered we took a week of holidays in Spain!

Now we shall try to keep our blog informed of what we are doing and whom are we photographing for, while simultaneously we shall try to write a little more and show pictures of what happened during this last month; our visiting to 6 cities in Spain (and driving around 1600 km from Madrid to Costa del Sol and back to Madrid), a boudoir photo-session, 10 weddings, the Stockholm University 2007 doctoral awards and appointments ceremony in Stadshuset, the ceremony for the new priests (prästvigning) of the diocese of Stockholm in Storkyrkan, the kick-off of the Rollingby gymnasium in Åkersberga and more photosessions for other customers.

So now we are back!
Keep an eye on August and September's contributions. We shall put new ones all the time.

Your comments are also very wellcome!

PRONOVIAS in Spain!

So, what is the first thing a visitor does as soon as he visits Madrid?

No question, he visits the new collection of Pronovias' bridal dresses of course! :-))

I was there and i can say that they are magnificent!

Time for another Boudoir photo session (morgongåva fotografering).

Well ahead of time was the bride-to-be photographed to offer these pictures as a present to her husbund, the morning after their wedding day.

The photo session took place at their home because the familiarity to the place helped the bride to look more relaxed on the photos, as well as being photographed among things that they live with in their everyday life added to the appeal of the pictures.

The album became just beautifull!

Happy anniversary Sabina and Sean!

When Sabina contacted us by email two years ago from Norway, she mentioned that the wedding was an indian-persian one.
In my reply i wrote to her that "i could ... kill to photograph a wedding like that!"

Finally, the 19th of August last year i met both Sabina and Sean and i was with them from 11 am till 02 am the next morning.
Not only the wedding couple was so beutifull and full of happiness, the party during and after the reception was just amazing!

In her email Sabina has thanked us so much for all the effort, the endeavour, the wonderful slideshow, and all the photos "that mean so much to me!" .

Happy anniversary Sabina and Sean!

The best "payment"...

Today i came back to Stockholm from a 3-day trip to Göteborg with the family, just to find 2 very special messages waiting for us.

Both of them had to do with two different weddings we photographed some weeks ago.

The first was en email from the United States, sent by the father of the bride.
The second was a card from the couple themselves.

Here are the texts of the two messages:

"Hello, Georgios and Mia!
... Catherine and I are starting to view the first group of your photos sent to us by Joanna and Manne. They are fantastic! I think you have a great talent to capture not only the subjects but also the people around the subjects, to really give a true feel of the moment.
It was a pleasure to witness your work and, it is a thrill to view the fruits of your labor. Thank you for helping to make the magical day last forever. ...
All the best! / David "

and

" Kära Georgios!
Tusen tack för alla otroligt fina bilderna i samband med vårat bröllop.
Du har varit en helt fantastisk fotograf, otroligt professionell och otroligt flexibel!! :-)
... Önskar er fortsatt lycka till.
med vänliga hälsningar!
R och O-H "

It's this kind of messages that make us to be so much in love with our job!

"Skärgårdskänla"

Some weeks ago i photographed a bride-to-be near Vaxholm, late one evening.
The weather was warm and beautifull and the model was in a great mood. We were there untill the sun set.

I am just so sorry i can't use any of the rest of the pictures we took that day because she wished to be anonymous.

"Thank you XXX for not stopping smiling all evening, not for a single second! You were great!"

Helena and Fredrik getting married at Stockholms Cityhall

Yesterday we had a typical swedish summer day; going from rain to a wonderfull sunshine, then to a cloudy weather and then to rain again, over and over...

This was not enough though to destroy the mood of the new wedds! On the contrary!
