Military wedding soon!

Here comes a photo of a bride-to-be who has been photographed to give a present to the groom their first day of life as married together. A military wedding is coming soon!

I had just come back from C's photo session and wrote a line about it on our wall at facebook when i got the response from Therese, who wished to have a similar session for her beloved.

During the messages we changed to find a theme and an available day for both of us, Therese named two things that stuck in my mind.

The first was "... jag litar på dig ...", ("i trust you"), which made me feel extremely flattered but at the same time raised the bar of the quality of the photos even more...

When i came to her home for the session i got a little surprise; her boyfriend was also there but he was not "allowed" to come close while photographing. When i asked her "...wasn't it suposed to be a surprise present to him?" she answered "i know, but i can not keep secrets from him!". So sweet!

Well, here shows one photo only because the rest will be shown in a couple of months.

Therese looks gorgeous, which reminds me of the second thing she mentioned during the facebook-messages: "jag är dock inte så fotogenique..." (" i am not so photogenic").

C's morgongåva.

I met with C for the first time in Grand Hotel in Stockholm, in January 2009. She was one of the hundreds of visitors of the Bröllops Mässa (the Wedding Fair) and we did not talk for more than a couple of minutes.
It was some months ago when she contacted us again and asked if we could photograph her wedding day and a few days later asked also about a photo session as a present to her husband.
C took care of everything. She had a clear idea of how she wanted her pictures to look like, in what enviroment she would be photographed and she was amazing at posing! Actually the session went so smooth and the photos resulted at a beautiful 12-pages designed album.

Happy Valentine Day!

This post could also have "the power of love" as a title!

Angelii is a very brave young lady!

Her love has just gotten a new job many hundred km away, in Norway. He is leaving in two days and he will be staying away for a few weeks every month. Angelii thought of being photographed, to prepare a small album that he will take with him while away. The album would be given this morning...

Angelii chose to be photographed in a sensual and rather intimate way near the water. Well, literally ON the water. We photographed outdoors, on the frosen surface of a lake, in minus 6 degrees Celcius.

The session took almost an hour and while she was posing there almost naked, she kept on saying to me " keep on photographing, it's ok! " every time (kind of every other minute) i asked her if she would like to take a break and get some warm clothes on.

Although she has aproved for her photos to be published by us, we chose to use her portrait. The rest of the images are "for his eyes only".

Just some teasers....

Helena saw Isabella's photosession in our blog a month ago, and thought of giving a surprise present to her man-to-be by making an own session herself.
When i asked her how was that that she took this decision, she answered that she is generally too shy infront of the camera and her pictures don't use to become so nice. Her man saw a similar session and by wanting to tease her he wished that she could stand in front of a camera and be photographed for similar photos ...
It was then that she thought of making him be taken aback, when he would receive these photos in a nice album, as a present the morning after their wedding day. Of course she had to choose through some 400 pictures and these showed here, were just the beginning of our session.

The rest of the photos are "for his eyes only"!

(Helena became so happy with her pictures that she happily gave us permition to show in the blog some of them. F is looking at his album several times a day! :-) )

Longing for the summer ...

The weather is finally starting being a little better! The cold is not any more worse than ... just a couple degrees minus (!) and for most of the day is plus! Middle of March and the Spring is slowly coming!

It's that weather that makes me think of the beautiful summertime in Sweden (and even more in Greece)!

Last August i was contacted by Isabella for taking some photos of her.

She wanted some photos in nature, with the sense of water and forest, as long as it was relatively still warm. She wanted the pictures mainly for herself and her man, but also eventually for her portfolio, since she is working part time  as a model.

We met late a Sunday evening, at Margretelun, in Åkersberga. With her was also Sintra (her little dog that modeled with her in some of the photos) and Andreas (her man who's help by holding the reflector was really appreciated), although no one of them shows on the pictures above and below. We photographed until the sun was under the horizon.

Isabella is a very happy and beautiful, full of energy young lady. Visit her blog "ännu en dag" ("one more day") to see more of her mode pictures plus to "get to know" her a little.

Beautiful photos!

Some time ago i was contacted by this young lady to photograph her wedding. She was also interested in a session to give a photo album as a morgongåva to her husband, the morning after their wedding day. We met at their home (as the bride-to-be wished) and photographed one evening.

Yesterday we received an email by the now married lady where, except from thanking us for the nice pictures from the wedding day, she also mentions "... (brudgummen) blev alldeles rörd av bilderna han fick i morgongåva. Han sa att han känner sig enormt hedrad över att få så vackra bilder! ..." (transl: "...the bridegroom was totally touched from the photos that he got as a present. He said he felt extremely honoured by receiving such beautiful pictures!")

It's this kind of emails that really make our day! :-)

Ulrika's gift.

In the end of December i met Ulrika, who wanted to be photographed while pregnant,  to give the pictures  to her Alex as a present.

The day that she was going to give birth was estimated as in the same week that Alex would have his birthday! This in combination with the fact that the baby is their first made her to decide for a special birhday present. 

Ulrika wanted to be photographed at her (their) home and wanted the pictures to have a taste of "studio / fashion" photography.

Mommy's sweeties !

Some weeks ago i photographed U, who is pregnant in the 9th month.

The idea was that U would be photographed so that she had nice pictures from the tummy, but also to show in the pictures how beautiful and sexy a woman can be, even when the body goes through such extended changes. The pictures should look like studio/fashion pictures.

A nice album was made by them, in the like of "morgongåva" or "boudoir" photography albums, and is ready to be given to the father-to-be on Sunday, as a present for his birthday.

That's why more pictures can be added here only after next week, after the birtday (both his and the baby's :-) )!

Soon to be married...

Mia and i met this beautifull bride-to-be this weekend at a central hotel in Stockholm and photographed her for her "morgongåva" album, which will be offered to the lucky bridegroom the morning after the wedding day, approximately in a month's time.

A trend that has been going on for many years in the USA under the name "boudoir photos", has also become very common in Sweden the last two years.

More soon-to-be brides are asking for it and many of them choose one of the best hotels in town to treat their selves in luxury and elegance.

Jessica "trashes her dress"!

Jessica came to Stockholm all the way from Gävle this Monday afternoon, just to trash the wedding dress.

You certenly know that this is the last trend on wedding photography, don't you? :-)

Unfortunately the weather was not the best possible but that did not keep her from jumping in the water. 

We photographed for about 2 hours and it was many passers-by that stopped to have a look, at the Haga park at Frescati.

After the session we continued to a nearby coffee shop with warm coffee and tea ...

Beautiful brides!

It's finally warm and light in Stockholm; the high season for weddings!
It's also the high season for boudoir or otherwise "morgongåva" photosessions!

The picture above is from one of "our" brides that gets married this summer. It was taken last weekend in a central famous hotel in our city!

Interviewed by NTD-TV channel!

During the Wedding Fair Show i got interviewed by the chinese tv channel NTD, a channel that broadcasts to all those who have satellite antennas all over the world.

It was a nice experience but also a little scary; well, i feel much more comfortable to stay behind the camera and not in front of it!  :-)

This morning i received the following email from a bride that got married some months ago (the names of the couple have not been written in the following text, with respect to the wish for anonymity due to the boudoir photo session that the bride did to offer to her husband);


"Hej Georgios!

Förlåt att det tagit så lång tid för mig att maila dig, jag har verkligen gått igenom bilderna och älskar dem! Det finns så många fina och jag är så glad att vi har bilder från hela dagen... XXX är också jättenöjd, jag tror han var lite nervös innan men det märks att han är sig själv och avslappnad – och det var viktigt för oss bägge att det skulle bli naturliga bilder.
.....
Det vore också bra om jag kunde få de digitala bilderna från ”min” fotografering, ... . Det är ju verkligen ovärdeligt att ha så här fina bilder att kika på när minnet sviker!

Stort tack för senast! Jag är verkligen glad över att du var med oss hela dagen och var så otroligt proffsig, det är VERKLIGEN skillnad på att vara på ett bröllop med en riktig fotograf jämfört med en amatör som står och fotar med blixt på alla möjliga och omöjliga ställen. Jag kikade på videofilmen från vigseln igår och jag tänkte inte alls på att du tog kort på oss och XXX var superavslappnad även han. Underbart! Jag hoppas att du hade en trevlig kväll efter det, vi är själva jättenöjda.

Som du kanske gissar är jag lite nyfiken på hur korten blev, finns det någon chans att tjuvkika via er websida?

It's such a delight hearing from a couple that they have enjoyed not only the photos that we have taken of them but also our attendance there!

Time for another Boudoir photo session (morgongåva fotografering).

Well ahead of time was the bride-to-be photographed to offer these pictures as a present to her husbund, the morning after their wedding day.

The photo session took place at their home because the familiarity to the place helped the bride to look more relaxed on the photos, as well as being photographed among things that they live with in their everyday life added to the appeal of the pictures.

The album became just beautifull!

"Skärgårdskänla"

Some weeks ago i photographed a bride-to-be near Vaxholm, late one evening.
The weather was warm and beautifull and the model was in a great mood. We were there untill the sun set.

I am just so sorry i can't use any of the rest of the pictures we took that day because she wished to be anonymous.

"Thank you XXX for not stopping smiling all evening, not for a single second! You were great!"
